Celebrating one year of Cachet

It's been a year to the day that I pushed the first commit, that means that it's Cachet's birthday today!

Here are some statistics from the past year.

We've been extremely lucky to be mentioned on some of the biggest news and collation sites in the world. Hitting the front page of HackerNews, not once, but twice. Mentioned by Smashing Mag, trended on GitHub numerous times. Featured as a DigitalOcean Hacktoberfest project. And so much more!

You, yes you, thank you!

It's definitely been an experience that we wouldn't change, we couldn't have achieved any of this without the help of the community. Whether that be a bug report, a pull request, a mention or a translation. Every contribution or mention means a huge deal to us! We're beyond grateful.

Being Open Source is stressful, it's hard work, but it's a labour of love. We love that people all over the world use, but more importantly know and contribute to Cachet.

We also owe a huge thank you to DigitalOcean who have sponsored both Cachet and StyleCI.

Roadmap and plans

Our plans for Cachet are vast. We've taken big steps towards making this plan clearer by using Milestones in our GitHub issue tracker and we'll be exploring a public roadmap in the months to come.

We've given out our stickers at some of the events we've attended, Joe 'the sticker man' Cohen attended Laracon covered in stickers. We developers have an affinity for stickers and we're always looking for an excuse to get them out there.

That said, if you'd like to support Cachet and help us cover development time, you can buy our stickers on our Stickermule marketplace.
